Incredible animation on battling and overcoming anxiety (BBC, 2019)

In this animated video by the BBC (2019), two students describe their experiences with anxiety and how the associated symptoms can overrun someone’s life, making them feel alone and even pushing them into further isolation. One student also explains how her anxiety got so bad that it drove her to overdose. This video is a deep dive into the complex emotional and physical symptoms caused by anxiety. At the end, however, these students underscore that their anxiety improved once they were able to access professional help because they were given the space to freely discuss their worries without judgment. Young people may connect with the perspectives, personal struggles, and symptoms described by the two students in this resource if they feel like they are suffering from anxiety, which may motivate them to seek out professional help.
